José Meireles is a popular face among Portuguese audiences, due to his work in several television series, the most popular being "Equador", but his career is also made of important contributions to several Portuguese films. From Manuel Mozos’ "Xavier" and Teresa Villaverde’s "Two Brothers", "My Sister" to Joaquim Leitão’s "Tentação", José Álvaro Morais’ "Zéfiro" and Luís Filipe Rocha’s "Camarate", José Meireles was directed by some of the most important Portuguese filmmakers.
