Rui Simões’ shortfilm "Os Meus Espelhos" marked the debut of Sara Carinhas and she has since then been steadily growing as an actress. With a strong presence in the Portuguese theatre world, where she has worked with Fernanda Lapa, Adriano Luz, Nuno Carinhas, Olga Roriz, Ricardo Pais, Nuno Cardoso and Cristina Carvalhal, the actress has also garnered attention through her cinema performances. Awarded with the L´Oreal Young Talent at the Lisbon and Estoril Film Festival, Carinhas joined the cast of "Bad Blood", directed by Tiago Guedes and Frederico Serra, "E o Tempo Passa", directed by Alberto Seixas Santos, or even Manoel de Oliveira’s "The Strange Case of Angelica".
